Atidim Alumni Association
Fifteen years after its founding, Atidim has over 5,500 highly trained college graduates – scientists, engineers and high tech whizzes. In 2012, Atidim launched its Alumni network, and is now leveraging the talent of its graduates to help foster early stage technology development through entrepreneurship.
Many of Atidim’s graduates are creative, ambitious, smart and high tech savvy. Some have incredible innovation ideas. Yet most do not have the tools, knowledge or support to begin to explore bringing these ideas to fruition.
The recently launched Digital Starter is a national program that aims to bridge economic gaps between Israel’s periphery and the center by offering digital services and support for small businesses. Atidim, Google and Wix have partnered to provide over 75,000 hours of volunteer work for this project. Wix is providing 10,000 premium subscriptions to its website services and Google is investing millions of shekels in the project. Some 100 Atidim students and graduates train over 2000 businesses from the periphery as they learn to integrate digital tools into their companies.
Atidim students work with small businesses to build their websites, train them on maintaining these sites, develop social media presence and increase online visibility. The businesses receive both professional training and long-term support. This innovative initiative breaks down barriers and puts small businesses in the periphery on the global radar. It will raise economic independence for these companies.
The Alumni Association provides an incredible platform for Atidim graduates to network and to fuel the “Start-Up Nations” high tech industry and contribute to Israel’s economic success.
